Check out these ways to make your under-sink cabinet neat and clean!

Are you dying to make your home a cleaner, more organized place to be? If you can’t stand the clutter in your home but aren’t sure where to begin, under the bathroom sink is a great place to start. It is also one of the places that needs the most creativity to arrange, with its cavernous size and pipe extending down the top middle. These tips to organize under the bathroom sink will make the process easy.

Empty and Declutter

Don’t be afraid to get messy before you get organized. Empty the entire cabinet under the bathroom sink of all its contents. Putting everything on the floor and the bathroom vanity will be sufficient.

The next step is to decide what to toss and what to keep. Toss out anything that is too old.

Categorize and Group Items

When you have only what you want to keep, take an inventory of what you have. You can make a list on a piece of paper or on your phone. It doesn’t have to include every item, just a loose summary. Group your bathroom supplies into their respective categories.

Clean and Waterproof the Cabinet

The cabinet under your bathroom sink might have stains or dust in it. Wipe the interior well and let it dry before adding any waterproof mat to the bottom. Adding a mat or film can help keep your under-sink cabinet cleaner.

Use Drawers and Totes

The size of your under-sink cabinet may be larger or smaller than others. Even so, the key is to make use of the cubic space as much as possible. If you have room for it, you can use shelving systems with pull-out drawers for easy access. Otherwise, totes or other open-top containers help group items together.

Create Storage on the Cabinet Doors

You can add even more storage space with shelves, hooks, or baskets that hang on the cabinet doors. Face the storage units on the doors’ interior sides. You can use them to store small items or cleaning bottles.

Organize Items from Back to Front

Keep items you use the most at the front and long-term stock in the back. Label drawers so you can find what you need easily. After you organize under the bathroom sink, your entire bathroom will feel better.
