This home remodeling project was incredibly exciting for us to be a part of! Take a look at the kitchen after we finished with it.
It was with great pleasure that George of AG Building and Remodeling and myself, Magazi Kitchens and Baths worked with Danielle in building a two-story addition for her home. A glass sunroom which the previous homeowners used as a family room in the rear of the home was removed and the two-story construction began. A large Master bedroom was added to the second floor and the Master bath and Hall bath were designed and reconstructed.
Reconfiguring the Interior
The addition on the first floor extended the home into a gracious family room with large windows overlooking the patio and garden area and skylights. The interior of the home was totally reconfigured: the original kitchen was turned into a laundry room, a powder room was added and new side entrance with an open floor plan into a newly designed kitchen.
The Kitchen

For her kitchen Danielle wanted an island with some seating for the family to enjoy breakfast or a quick snack. Her choice of cabinets was a shaker style with the brindle stain. Storage was her main objective and we designed the kitchen with 42inch tall cabinets on the wall and even a 32” tall cabinet over her window and base cabinets with drawers and full height doors. The island accommodated a farm sink, dishwasher and a 12” overhang on two sides for seating. The brown hues of the Calcutta Tez counter top and the glass Kasmir backsplash tiles blended beautifully with the brindle stain of the cabinets.
Bathrooms
Danielle and I visited the tile stores to select tiles for her bathrooms. For the children’s bathroom we selected something light and colorful and for the master bath vintage black and white. Large showers 32” x 60” were designed for both bathrooms and double vanities for the master bath.
When we finished the project, it was with great satisfaction that Danielle was excited to show-off her new rooms. The homeowners are very happy and enjoying their new spaces.
